Easter, Buxton Style!!

I know that Easter was a while ago, but I wanted to share a few of the many pictures that we took that weekend. An egg hunt, kick ball, and delicious food made for a great holiday, as usual! I just can't believe how much all of the kids have grown up!

I saw this neat project in Better Homes & Gardens and we decided to try it out! We had a lot of fun dying the eggs and figuring out how to take the tops of the eggs off just right! I think they came out really cute, and they made great gifts for the Moms!!

The new hole in the wall that makes the Poole house seem so much bigger! It's a good thing too, since the family just keeps on growing!

Yes, we are the type of people who take pictures of the Easter turkey! But, it is beatiful!

Cammy and Devin's first Easter in Buxton! I think they had fun!

We try to always hide one really hard egg for the older kids. This year, the Brothers Cote found a random animal hole in the yard and decided to drop an egg into it! It was a pretty deep hole, but they got the egg out! I believe it was Joe that managed to get it out, and he was the winner of two Hershey's kisses and a nickle! Winner winner chicken dinner!

Derrick had a bird's eye view of the festivities from the roof of the garage!

Beautiful Weekend!

What a beautiful weekend! It is so great that nice days are finally here! I was going to wow you with a play-by-play of our action packed weekend, but then I decided to get the pictures off the camera, and I found a few good ones that I wanted to share! I think I am going to have to have a few picture posts to get caught up!

Last weekend Josh and Alex came over and hung out with Derrick for the afternoon. Alex had a blast digging in our garden and he couldn't resist showing off the worms that he dug! He was just so proud of himself and kept saying that wiggling worms were tickling his tummy! So cute!

And, Albus REALLY liked the catnip that I bought for him! There is only little nubs left and it only took a day!

We started out the weekend in OOB at Jimmy The Greeks! Excellent pizza and a very wide selection of beer. A friend from college was in town and we got to crash her sister's birthday party! It was a good time.

We met with the coordinator at Spring Meadows on Saturday morning and we are pretty much set and ready to go! We chose the ceremony location, as well as the beer selection and appetizers! I think everything will go spectacularly!! Peggy is amazing and wants nothing more than for me to not worry about anything the day of! I doubt that I will be without any worry at all, but my confidence in Peggy will definitely make it easier for me to relax!

We did have the chance to enjoy the beautiful day with a fun disc golf trip with Josh, Kelsey, and Blinky. I played Campbell Highlands for the first time, and those trees are tough! I did better than last week though - I didn't even break 100! Still, I can only hope that my arm does not ache for days! Now we just need to find a pink disc golf bag! Both Kelsey and I had to fish our discs out of a water hazard, but poor Kelsey did a slo-mo topple over into the water and had to spend the rest of the afternoon with a wet back! I should have been concentrating on my playing, but instead I spent a lot of the time trying to get some good shots of everyone with our spiffy new camera.

Afterwards, Kelsey and Blinky came to our house for sausage/beef burgers (always a culinary adventure in the Cotard household!). Jenny and Steve-O also came to hang out and we ended up just watching a movie for the rest of the evening. Yup, we are so exciting!

Sunday we got to do a little bit of gardening and we took our first nursery trip of the year! We have so much work to do! The woman who lived in this house before us planted a lot of perennials, but I need to move a lot of them around - I just don't have anywhere to move them to! I guess we will be building more garden beds.
That is all for now! Stay tuned for some picture posts!!

In The Beginning!

So, here it is! I finally decided to start a blog! I can't guarantee that I will have something to say every day, or even every week! But, I will do my best to keep you all up to date on the totally exciting world that is our life! Haha!
Seriously, things are happening for us right now! We are at 38 days and counting until the big day and we are so excited! There is not a whole lot left to do, mostly just a few details like printing programs and organizing! Never the less, that is plenty!
I had my bachelorette party on Friday, April 17th. The girls totally surprised me! I had no idea what we were doing! We went to the Chippendale's show at the Roxy in Boston!!! It was sooo much fun! I even got up on stage, yikes! I have the best friends and the best sister a girl could ask for! I wish that everyone had been able to make it, but we will hopefully be able to go out for a wild night locally before the wedding!
Derrick's bachelor party is on May 2nd. It was supposed to be a surprise, and for a very short while he was convinced that they were going to Canada, but Jason let the cat out of the bag and now he is very excited to be going to Atlantic City! While he is gone I will be attending my bridal shower, which my Mom is very excited about keeping a complete secret!
The biggest new is that we have the honeymoon booked! Costa Rica here we come!!! Woo Hoo! I can't wait! We are planning some adventurous outings, as well as some good relaxation time, which I am sure we will need by then!
In the meantime, we are busy planning another year of gardening! Our favorite local nursery opens this week and we are psyched to get to go pick out flowers and veggies! Derrick REALLY wants to put in a berry patch and some fruit trees, we just have not been able to find exactly what we want! I am going to be busy overhauling the retaining wall and probably along the front of the house. Time to do something about it as it is way too out of control! Don't worry, we will have plenty of veggies and canned goods to share with everyone!
I think that is all for now! I am sure I will have more later! Talk to you soon!
